WEKA DK34 M1 motorway drilling

One of our very good drillers has given us some feedback when drilling on the M1 - it is so important to get the speed right to get the most out of your drill bits....

The picture show some typical cores I took out of the M1 motorway, I did around 130 of these all with your segments, when I started I was using the 100rpm shibuya. The cores averaged a meter deep so I thought I'd need a bit of torque, progress was o.k 
As I have concerns about the reliability of the shibuya  I thought I'd give the 150rpm Dk34 a go - the difference was amazing 30 % faster, if not more, I was getting an extra hole a shift done, this put me ahead of program and into the main contractors golden boys club! 
Speed matching is key to productivity,  you'd be hard pushed to see an increase of 50rpm with your eye - but you see it in time saving.
